WHAT ARE YOUR INTENTIONS WITH THIS CHARACTER IN GAME? I'm looking forward to Poe meeting the other Star Wars peeps as well as making friends with others. Once his dreams kick in, I'm looking forward to his receiving BB8 and being just a little jealous that he's the only one of the group without force abilities.

CANON HISTORY: Poe Dameron

IN GAME HISTORY: Poe Dameron was born in Los Angeles, California, a few years after his parents immigrated from Guatemala. From an early age his parents had supported whatever Poe was into, which included his obsession with planes, which had started when he was quite young and his parents had brought him to a nearby airshow. All he wanted for Christmas that year was planes. Anything planes and he constantly talked about how someday he was going to fly one of those planes.

While some kids get over their childhood obsessions, Poe never did and as early as high school he was looking into becoming a pilot in some branch of the US military. A year after graduating high school, Poe enlisted in the Navy with the intention of becoming a fighter pilot. The only downside of his time in the Navy was Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, but at the time Poe was more focused on flying and becoming the best pilot to really care too much about relationships in the early days. Of course, eventually Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was repealed and while Poe didn’t make a big announcement that he was bi-sexual, it was a weight off his shoulders when he no longer had to hide it.

After more than ten years on active duty, Poe was given an honorable discharge and soon after was offered a job as a flight instructor and now resides in Seal Beach.
